PIC
New chemicals added under PIC group entries
Since April 2016, 90 additional chemicals have been added to the group entries in the list of substances subject to an export notification (Annex I to PIC). A list of these chemicals is now available on our website, and we will update it whenever new chemicals are added to the groups.
Updating the group entries with individual chemicals and their identifiers is important so that companies can make their export notifications in ePIC with the correct identifiers. Companies cannot submit notifications for a group entry, but need to provide a CAS or EC number for their actual substance.
An up-to-date list of all substances in Annex I and each group entry can be found on ECHA’s website or through the ePIC tool.

Downstream users
Your question on chemical safety report
During our Stakeholders' Day 2017 some questions relevant to downstream users were only partially answered to. We now take the opportunity to clarify them here.
Question: I use a hazardous substance more than one tonne per year. The substance is registered in the tonnage band 1 - 10 tonnes and therefore no exposure scenario was communicated with the safety data sheet. Do I need to perform my own assessment (DU CSR)?
Answer: No. According to REACH the downstream user doesn't need to to perform his own assessment when the chemical safety report is not required to be completed by his supplier (Article 37.4(b)).
