CLH consultation launched on the pesticide chlorsulfuron

ECHA has started a 45-day public commenting period on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals for the pesticide chlorsulfuron. This substance already has a harmonised classification, and the dossier submitter, Poland, is proposing to add M-factors for hazards to the aquatic environment. The deadline for submitting comments is the 4 July 2014.

Deadline to notify the presence in articles of seven substances of very high concern (SVHCs) in the Candidate List is 16 June 2014

ECHA reminds importers and EU producers of articles that the deadline for submitting the substance in article (SiA) notifications for the following seven SVHCs added to the Candidate List on 16 December 2013 is fast approaching:

  • cadmium sulphide (EC number 215-147-8),
  • disodium 3,3'-[[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diylbis(azo)]bis(4-aminonaphthalene-1-sulphonate) (C.I. Direct Red 28) (EC number 209-358-4),
  • disodium 4-amino-3-[[4'-[(2,4-diaminophenyl)azo][1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]azo] -5-hydroxy-6-(phenylazo)naphthalene-2,7-disulphonate (C.I. Direct Black 38) (EC number 217-710-3),
  • dihexyl phthalate (EC number 201-559-5),
  • imidazolidine-2-thione (2-imidazoline-2-thiol) (EC number 202-506-9),
  • lead di(acetate) (EC number 206-104-4),
  • trixylyl phosphate (EC number 246-677-8).

Companies are invited to verify if their articles meet the conditions for the notification obligation under Article 7 of the REACH Regulation.

The notification can be submitted either through the substance in article web form or through REACH-IT using IUCLID. The notification is mandatory for all articles containing the SVHCs currently included in the Candidate List if the conditions for the notification obligation are met.
