Save the date: Seminar for future applicants for authorisation on 17 June 2013 On 17 June 2013, ECHA will host a seminar on applications for authorisation specifically designed for future applicants. The aim is to raise the overall understanding of the authorisation application procedure through presentations, discussions and feedback from the industry. Due to space constraints, participants will be selected through an application process which will open on 17 April. Priority will be given to potential future applicants not having had a chance to participate in the previous similar seminars. More information will be published on ECHA's website soon. REACH 2013 registration statistics updated So far, 1 464 substances have been registered for the 31 May 2013 REACH deadline. Two months until the first Biocides Stakeholders' Day In preparation for the application date of the Biocidal Products Regulation on 1 September 2013, the Stakeholders' Day aims to engage key biocides stakeholders with information about the new regulation to ensure that companies are aware of their roles and available tools and resources to assist them in meeting their obligations. The event will be organised in Helsinki, at ECHA premises. A draft agenda and registration link will be published by the end of April. |

The Agency has published its annual general report, which this time has a focus on Evaluation activities. Report on relevant REACH and CLP academic courses available As a contribution to the ECHA graduate scheme, this "mapping study", undertaken by the University of Milano, outlines the academic courses relevant to REACH and CLP that are already available from universities, other academic institutions and professional organisations. There are many individual short-courses and a limited number of comprehensive courses that cover full training for regulatory professionals.
The ECHA graduate scheme responds to the high demand for REACH and CLP specialists, both from industry and within the regulatory authorities and operates as an information resource of academic courses relevant to graduates who want to work in this area. Fourth ENES Meeting - registration open
The fourth meeting of the Exchange Network on Exposure Scenarios (ENES) will be held from 16 to 17 May 2013 in Helsinki. The draft programme and the link to register are now available on ECHA's website.
