Apology for website problems

Our website is not working properly at the moment. Here in ECHA, the effect is that we are currently unable to publish content – not even a message on our home page to explain the problem. We are working with our contractors to put things right and we are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

We will let you know once things are running smoothly again, and in any case, will update you next week in the Weekly.

Board of Appeal

Board of Appeal publishes two decisions related to the rejection of adaptations

The decisions of the Board of Appeal in cases A-014-2014 and A-003-2015 both concern ECHA decisions following compliance checks rejecting adaptations (or waiving) for the pre-natal developmental toxicity (PNDT) endpoint. In both decisions ECHA rejected the adaptation proposed as the conditions that need to be met for an adaptation under the third indent of column 2 of section 8.7 of Annex IX (to the REACH Regulation) had not been met.

REACH

REACH-IT temporarily closed - reopens on Monday

Due to technical issues, REACH-IT is temporarily closed for industry and will reopen on Monday 15 August. We have identified the cause of the issue and are working to resolve it. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to companies that have been unable to submit their dossiers.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will make sure that all dossiers submitted during the period of the technical issues (4-8 August) will be followed up appropriately to minimise the impact on companies.

Further substances assessed by authorities

The public activities coordination tool (PACT) has been updated with information on new substances that are undergoing risk management option analysis by authorities.
