Webinar on successful classification and labelling notifications

ECHA will host on 14 December a webinar on classification and labelling (C&L) notifications. The webinar will be addressed to all companies with notification obligations and will focus on the main steps necessary to submit successful C&L notifications. The deadline for notifications is at midnight (GMT) on 3 January 2011.

The main objective of the webinar is to help companies to make successful C&L notifications using the different IT tools.
The webinar is open to all companies with notification obligations, is free of charge and on a first come first served basis. Up to 1000 participants can register and there are no limitations on the number of participants per company.
The webinar can be viewed on the ECHA website after the event. Each IT tool for notification can be seen separately, so companies can later view the part relevant for them.
ECHA has provided guidance, practical guides and tool manuals on the CLP regulation in 22 languages. You can access these via the CLP section on the ECHA's website.

Importers and manufacturers must notify the classification and labelling of substances placed on the market if they are:
- Hazardous substances, on their own or in mixtures and irrespective of the tonnage; or
- Subject to registration under the REACH Regulation.
Notification is free of charge.
