SCIP database version 2.0 available
Helsinki, 24 November 2021 - The new version covers the following changes:
- Users can soon start searching the database by SCIP number. Note that only full, complete, and valid SCIP numbers are accepted for searching. It will not be possible to search by partial SCIP numbers. We will start processing data submitted by Simplified SCIP Notifications (SSNs) progressively from December 2021. This will allow users to search using SCIP numbers that are referencing to other notifications. Due to the high volume, processing this data might take some time.
- The Article identifiers search block is improved, with possibilities to optionally select to search for specific identifier types (e.g. Brand name, Serial #, EAN code etc.) and to edit the search operator used.
- Adaptation to the new IUCLID format, including updates to article category list (harmonised list based on the integrated Tariff of the European Union – TARIC – list)
- Technical enhancements to make the front-end portal load faster, and to improve the processing especially of large and complex articles.
Further information is available on our SCIP Database web pages.
