List of lead registrants updated

The list of substances for which a lead registrant has been declared in REACH-IT has been updated. It now includes 11 581 substances.

Survey of tattoo ink and permanent make-up manufacturers

Do you make tattoo inks or permanent make-up? We are looking at a possible EU-wide restriction on certain substances and would like to hear from you. Give us your feedback on alternatives and costs of a restriction. Respond by 20 August 2017.

New intentions to identify a substance of very high concern

New intentions for identification as a substance of very high concern have been received for:

  • benz[a]anthracene (EC 200-280-6; CAS 56-55-3), and
  • chrysene (EC 205-923-4; CAS 218-01-9).

Registry of current SVHC intentions

New substance evaluation conclusions published

New substance evaluation conclusion documents are now available on ECHA’s website for:

  • 2-ethylhexanoic acid (EC 205-743-6; CAS 149-57-5). It has been added to the CoRAP list in 2012 and evaluated by Spain;
  • pentan-1-ol (EC 200-752-1; CAS 71-41-0). It has been added to the CoRAP list in 2016 and evaluated by Lithuania.

Reminder: Consultation event on REACH 2018
4-5 September 2017, Paris

The event will focus on practical advice on registration. There will be presentations on key topics and one-to-one sessions, where you can discuss your specific situation with experts from ECHA and the French national helpdesk.

Participation is free of charge, but your need to register by 15 August. You can also follow the event through web stream.

The event is organised by the French Ministry of Environment, Energy and Marine Affairs in collaboration with the French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks and ECHA.

Notifying hazardous mixtures to poison centres: still places left

The webinar gives an overview of the harmonisation of information submitted for hazardous mixtures to poison centres in the European Union as of 2020.
