Updated Guidance on the preparation of an Annex XV dossier for the identification of substances of very high concern
ECHA/NA/14/05
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published an update of the Guidance on the preparation of an Annex XV dossier for the identification of substances of very high concern on its website following a consultation process.
Helsinki, 12 February 2014 – The Guidance on the preparation of an Annex XV dossier for the identification of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) has been updated to take into account the amendment of Annex XIII to REACH (according to Commission Regulation (EU) No 253/2011 of 15 March 2011, OJ L 69 7 16.3.2011) and the experience and best practice developed by the Member State competent authorities and ECHA since the original version of the Guidance was drafted in 2007. This update involved a complete overhaul of the text resulting in a reduction in the amount of detailed guidance given within the document itself. Instead, references are now given within the document to where specific instructions on how to prepare an Annex XV SVHC dossier can be found, including where to access the template for use in generating the Annex XV SVHC report.
