Investigation report on lead in consumer articles restriction available
The investigation report on lead and its compounds in articles supplied to the general public (restriction entry 63) aims to support the Commission in their consideration to re-evaluate the restriction. The report evaluates new scientific information on the analytical methods for measuring the release of lead, taking into account the effects of coating on articles, and on the availability of alternatives related to certain existing derogations in the entry.

Restriction of four phthalates now applicable
The phthalates DEHP, DBP, DIBP and BBP are restricted in articles as of 7 July 2020. If your company is affected, make sure you understand the conditions of the restriction, including possible derogations.
