National Inspectorates - Iceland

The Environment Agency of Iceland is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of REACH, CLP, BPR and POP regulations as well as other regulations with a legal basis in the Icelandic Chemicals Act No 61/2013. The Environment Agency carries out inspections with large producers and companies which have operating permits issued by the Agency. It also acts as the overall coordinator for enforcement and inspections and supplies information and training for inspectors in other authorities.
