What is IUCLID?

IUCLID is a software to record, store, maintain and exchange data on intrinsic and hazard properties of chemical substances. ECHA co-develops the software with the OECD.

Under REACH, information submitted to ECHA has to be in IUCLID format. ECHA provides the software for free on the IUCLID 6 website.

Before you start working with IUCLID, it is important that you get familiar with how the registration information is structured and with the terminology used in the application. You can do this by starting to use the tool with your data and by reading the user manuals. There is also useful software documentation available on the website and within IUCLID (which you can access by pressing the F1 key).
