Public consultation on inclusion of new substances in the Authorisation List
ECHA launches a public consultation on its draft recommendation of six new substances to be included in the Authorisation List. Interested parties are invited to submit comments by 23 September 2013.
ECHA updates the Candidate List for authorisation with six new substances of very high concern (SVHCs)
ECHA's Member State Committee (MSC) has unanimously agreed to identify six new substances as SVHCs. These six substances are added to the Candidate List for authorisation. The Candidate List now contains 144 substances.
Nearly 300 participants took part in ECHA's first Biocides Stakeholders' Day - further 1 300 followed online
The presentations of yesterday's Biocides Stakeholders' Day are now available on ECHA's website. The video recording of the event will be published later.
For those who attended the event either in person or via web-streaming, you can give your feedback by filling out a short feedback questionnaire.
New webpages on biocides have been published in English. They explain the main processes of the regulation, such as the active substance approval, product authorisation, data sharing and technical equivalence. The pages will be translated to all EU languages in autumn. A leaflet highlighting the main changes introduced by the Biocidal Products Regulation is also available in 23 languages.
Biocides fee regulation published in the Official Journal
The European Commission has adopted a regulation laying down the fees and charges payable to ECHA concerning the making available on the market and use of biocidal products.
The European Commission hosts a full day workshop to present the main findings of its report on the operation of REACH and to discuss priorities for actions, to follow-up on the report's recommendations. The workshop aims to discuss with the stakeholders some of the report's main recommendations and possibilities for concrete actions. The event will be broadcast live online.
