Chesar version 1.1 now allows companies to create a full Chemical Safety Report.

Helsinki, 07 July 2010 - Chesar provides industry with an IT tool to carry out the Chemical Safety Assessment more efficiently and effectively. In particular the tool supports the exchange of assessments or parts of it among registrants and industry associations. Also, it supports cross-industry standardisation on how to describe and communicate the conditions of safe use.

This new update now enables registrants to create a full Chemical Safety Report (CSR). The CSR is created in text form as well as in exchangeable database form. Chesar v1.1 works with the IUCLID 5.2 standalone version.
Chesar v1.1 ensures consistency between the exposure scenarios contained in the CSR and the identified uses in IUCLID. Once companies have completed their assessment in Chesar, the new version (1.1), enables the information on the uses to be exported directly into IUCLID (section 3.5).

Chesar v1.1 does not generate exposure scenarios for the extended Safety Data Sheets; this functionality will be introduced in autumn 2010.
User feedback is very welcome on Chesar v1.1 - it will be used in development of the next upgrades.
