To provide support to duty holders, ECHA is developing IT tools to support preparing and submitting information on articles that contain Candidate List substances in a concentration above 0.1 % w/w.
ECHA has established a harmonised IUCLID format for submitting the required information to SCIP.
The ECHA Submission portal (ECHA Cloud Service) is an online tool to prepare and submit information according to the harmonised format. ECHA will provide three different ways to prepare for the submission of information to the SCIP database.
- A user interface dossier preparation tool for users who wish to prepare and submit through the ECHA Submission portal.
- IUCLID 6 using a specific SCIP interface to prepare their information offline. Notifications can be submitted using the ‘upload and submit’ functionality in the ECHA Submission portal.
- System-to-system integration for advanced users who wish to directly edit in XML format e.g. where industry systems automatically generate the data.
All submissions will need to adhere to the harmonised SCIP format no matter which submission route is used.
