Raccomandazioni dello SCOEL
Il Comitato scientifico per i limiti dell’esposizione professionale agli agenti chimici (SCOEL) è stato istituito per la prima volta dalla Commissione europea nel 1995 con l’obiettivo di valutare i potenziali effetti sulla salute dell’esposizione professionale a sostanze chimiche pericolose sulla base dei più recenti dati scientifici disponibili. Le sostanze incluse in questo repertorio sono state valutate dal Comitato fino al termine del suo mandato nel 2018.
Le raccomandazioni scientifiche basate sulla salute sono state utilizzate per fissare valori limite di esposizione professionale al fine di proteggere i lavoratori dai rischi chimici ai sensi della direttiva sugli agenti chimici e della direttiva sugli agenti cancerogeni e mutageni. Questa direttiva è stata successivamente sostituita dalla direttiva sugli agenti cancerogeni, mutageni e sulle sostanze tossiche per la riproduzione (CMRD, 2004/37/CE).
Il repertorio, precedentemente pubblicato sul sito web dello SCOEL, fornisce l’elenco delle sostanze per le quali lo SCOEL ha adottato raccomandazioni e pareri relativi alle valutazioni tossicologiche delle sostanze che incidono sulla salute dei lavoratori.
Come leggere la tabella
Gli identificatori delle sostanze mostrati nella tabella provengono dalla banca dati delle sostanze chimiche dell’ECHA:
- denominazione della sostanza;
- numero CE/numero in elenco (numero della Comunità europea/numero di elenco assegnato dall’ECHA);
- CAS RN (numero di registrazione del Chemical Abstract Service).
Per ciascuna sostanza, la tabella include anche il nome specifico dello SCOEL (tra parentesi, se diverso da quello dell’ECHA), il numero del documento SCOEL, l’anno in cui la raccomandazione è stata adottata o rivista e la raccomandazione in formato PDF.
