Procurement and contracts

ECHA regularly invites tenderers to participate in public procurements for goods and services such as contracting scientific expertise, IT services or hardware.

ECHA can only enter into contracts or maintain contracts with partners that have access to the Internal Market of the EU/EEA.

ECHA is already now adding the following clarification to the standard wording of our contract specifications:

Tenderers or candidates established in the United Kingdom are made aware that as from the 1st February 2020, the rules of access to EU procurement procedures of economic operators established in third countries will apply to tenderers or candidates from the UK on the terms of the Brexit withdrawal agreement between the EU and the UK, signed on 24 January 2020. In this regard, the withdrawal agreement provides for a transition period until 31 December of 2020, during which EU procurement procedures will still be open to economic operators  established in the UK. Access to EU procurement procedures for UK operators after 31 December  2020 will depend on the outcome of the negotiations between the EU and the UK.
