Description of key information

According to the chemical structure of 1,2-dichloroethane it can be considered that degradation will not occur by hydrolysis. Thus, performing a test is scientifically not justified. The substance will be treated as non-degradable by hydrolysis for risk assessment (CSR). A study is described in an article, but according to very specific conditions.
