Until the EU Treaties cease to apply to the UK in accordance with Article 50 of the Treaty on the European Union, the UK remains a Member State of the Union with all rights and obligations; until the date of the UK withdrawal, therefore, UK citizens may apply for job opportunities with ECHA under the same conditions as any EU citizen.

One of the eligibility criteria for candidates applying for staff positions in our Agency is to be a national of a Member State of the European Union or a national of the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway).

After the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, citizens of the United Kingdom will therefore no longer be nationals qualified under these criteria. Therefore, from 30 March 2019 onwards, our Agency will no longer on a regular basis be recruiting UK nationals to fill our vacancies.
