Train the trainers: Safety Assessment and Reporting tool (Chesar)

ECHA is organising a “Train the trainers” event on the new Chesar tool from 27 to 28 September 2016 in Helsinki. The aim of the training is to enhance the quantity and quality of Chesar support available for industry by training those who will then use their knowledge to train others. This is of particular importance as companies start to prepare for the 2018 REACH registration deadline.

Target audience

The event is addressed primarily to companies and organisations that plan to offer training activities on Chesar in the coming months.

Content

During the event, ECHA will deliver what could be used as a model training course, with particular emphasis on the key messages to be passed on to potential users.

  • Day 1: Basic training on Chesar 3
  • Day 2: Chesar 3 advanced functionalities

The first day consists of a basic training on Chesar that can be reused by trainers for their own purposes.

The second day is meant to increase understanding of the more advanced features of Chesar3 including a breakdown of assessing complex cases and an overview of advanced functionalities.

The basic training package (slides, scripts for the demo, IUCLID and Chesar files and exercises) will be available so that participants can reuse it for their own trainings.

Registration

There are a limited number of spaces available. If you are interested in participating, please send us an email at: chesar@echa.europa.eu indicating the type(s) of training course(s) that your organisation plans to deliver as well as any examples of previous related trainings you may have organised.
