The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) hosted a workshop on substance identification and substance sameness. The 9th Stakeholders' Day 21 May 2014 - 29-30 April 2014 | Helsinki ECHA workshop on sharing experience on applications for authorisation
Some 200 representatives of potential applicants have participated in ECHA's seminars on application for authorisation. Furthermore many others have been involved in the preparation of applications. It would be opportune now to share experiences and lessons learned to further improve the process. Substances on the Authorisation List (Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation) cannot be placed on the market or used after the so-called "sunset date" unless an authorisation has been granted for a specific use, or if the use has been exempted from authorisation. As soon as a substance is included in the Authorisation List, manufacturers, importers or downstream users of this substance may apply for an authorisation. - 27-28 March 2014 | Brussels ECHA Workshop on submitting applications for authorisation for chromates in an efficient way
CEFIC and EUROMETAUX will organise in association with ECHA a workshop on the timing and handling of submissions on the upcoming applications for chromates. The focus of this workshop is on the process aspects of the applications.
