Collection of information on:
-information related to the content of individual PAHs listed in the entry 50 and analytical methods used to establish this content, and
-current availability of suitable, alternative low-PAH raw materials, particularly carbon black and extender oils, used to manufacture rubber and plastic components.
Call for comments on the proposed guideline on articles falling within the scope of restriction entry 50 of Annex XVII to REACH: Polycyclic organic hydrocarbons in articles supplied to the general public
The Netherlands intends to propose a restriction on eight carcinogenic PAHs in plastic and rubber granulates used as infill material in synthetic turf pitches. This call invites the interested parties to submit information on PAHs in granulates, information on alternatives used and cost information. In addition all relevant information for the preparation of an Annex XV restriction dossier is welcome.
