Reference
Endpoint:
bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation based on log Kow <=3

Description of key information

According to Annex  IX, column 2, point 9.3.2 of the REACH Regulation, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2021/979, a bioaccumulation study in aquatic or sediment species does not have to be conducted because Sodium lactate is not surface active and has a low octanol-water partition coefficient (log Kow < 3), independently from pH, thus the potential for bioaccumulation is insignificant.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
