Description of key information

At room temperature, DBP is an oily colourless liquid with a slight characteristic odour.

DBP melts at -69°C and boils at 340°C (at standard pressure 1013 hPa)

It has a relative density of 1.045 g/cm3 at 20°C,

a vapour pressure of 9.7 +/- 3.3*10 -5 hPa at 25°C,

shows a partition coefficient of log Pow =4.57 (n-octanol/water),

with 10 mg/L in water it is slightly soluble at 20°C and very soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone and benzene,

shows a flash point at 157°C,

is non flammable or explosive and has has no oxidising properties.
