In its October meeting, the Member State Committee (MSC) agreed to identify triphenyl phosphate as a substance of very high concern, SVHC, because of its endocrine disrupting properties in the environment. The committee also unanimously approved an alternative method, the non-vertebrate Hyalella Azteca test, HYBIT, to be used as the standard information requirement under REACH where applicable.
