Experimental hydrolysis study is waived, because of high insolubility of Anthraquinone in water. (In accordance with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VIII, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water. Seeing that the solubility is 74.6 micrograms per liter, substance meets the criteria for insolubility.) Using HYDROWIN v2.00 (Aqueous Base/Acid-Catalyzed Hydrolysis;) rate constants can not be estimated for this structure.

The calculated half-life of anthraquinone in air due to indirect photodegradation using the latest version of AopWin version 1.92 is 85.7 hours, considering a reaction constant of 1.4984 E-12 cm3/molecule.sec and a daily mean (12-h) OH-radicals concentration of 150,000 radicals/cm3.
