Joint campaign on 2010 REACH and CLP deadlines

Media material on European trade unions' campaign, calling workers representatives to act as ambassadors for REACH and CLP. The campaign has been launched by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the European Chemical Workers Federation (EMCEF), with the support of ECHA and EU-OSHA.

Trade unions are convinced in the importance of the new chemical laws and calling on their member organisations to alert employers to their responsibilities to register and notify ECHA in time. Press materials include a press release, background interviews with ETUC and national trade unions, and the leaflet for the campaign.

Background interview with ETUC:

"I think that most companies do not even know about them, and the first deadlines are drawing nearer. Ignoring them can have serious consequences for companies," reminds Dr Musu.
