A new version of the Technical Completeness Check plugin is available
News Alert
ECHA/NA/10/56
Media enquiries: ECHA Press
The Technical Completeness Check (TCC) plugin has been adapted to better cover all registration scenarios.
Helsinki, 30 September 2010 - This new version of the TCC tool plugin is released following a request from the chemical industry associations to improve how completeness of certain specific registration dossiers is checked. In the updated plugin, no new TCC rules have been added; it simply allows the Lead Registrant's dossier to be checked against the right level of information needed according to the tonnage bands indicated. In addition, failure messages displayed by the plugin have been improved to make it easier for the registrant to correct the failures reported by the tool.
All dossiers that passed the checks made by the previous version of the plugin will also pass with the new version and the small number of "false failures" will no longer occur.
Further information
The TCC plugin for IUCLID 5 is a tool designed to prevent TCC failure on submission to ECHA of REACH registration dossiers and PPORD notifications. It allows a registrant to perform essentially the same TCC that is done at ECHA. A registrant therefore has the opportunity to correct potential problems before making a submission.
ECHA strongly recommends that all registrants use the TCC plugin to detect any errors in their dossiers before submission to ECHA.
