ECHA calls for a new round of comments on a carcinogenicity study of epsilon-metofluthrin

ECHA/NI/16/14

ECHA is launching an additional public consultation on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) for carcinogenicity of epsilon-metofluthrin (CAS No. 240494-71-7). Comments on a recently submitted study are welcome.

Helsinki, 30 March 2016 – The proposal for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of epsilon-metofluthrin was submitted by the Health and Safety Executive in the United Kingdom and was subject to a public consultation, which ended on 14 August 2015.

Subsequently, a new study on chimeric mice was submitted to ECHA. As these study results were not initially subjected to public consultation, ECHA would like to provide the parties concerned with a second opportunity to comment on this hazard class. The basis for this additional public consultation is the same CLH report which was previously subject to public consultation and the additional chimeric mouse study.

New comments on this study are invited in writing by 13 April 2016 to the following mailbox: clh-expert-meetings(at)echa.europa.eu. The comments will be published on ECHA's website.
