Only Representatives can apply for authorisation

In December 2011, the European Commission services informed ECHA that, in their view, an Only Representative (OR) of a non-EU manufacturer can also apply for authorisation. Following this, ECHA updated the webforms to allow ORs to send their applications while developing long term functionalities in REACH-IT. The relevant "Data Submission Manual Part 22 - How to Prepare and Submit an Application for Authorisation using IUCLID 5" is also being updated and will be published once the new version of IUCLID is released, which is currently expected to be during summer 2012.

Lead registrant workshop

The final version of the agenda for the Lead Registrant Workshop taking place in Helsinki from 2 to 3 February 2012 has been published on the ECHA website. The agenda focuses on the topics covered during the workshop and provides further information about one-to-one and training sessions for lead registrants attending the workshop.

Conference on REACH and CLP Enforcement: 1 March 2012, Brussels

The Conference organised by the European Commission, will gather authorities and stakeholders from all REACH and CLP sectors and will focus on enforcement activities and on identifying good practices from both Member States' authorities and stakeholders. Forum members and ECHA will present their activities.

Chemical Safety Assessment for REACH 2013 registration deadline

On 17 June 2012, during the EUROTOX 2012 Congress in Stockholm, ECHA is organising a training course for regulators and industrial toxicologists who deal with the REACH Regulation, as well as providing a background on REACH for academia and scientists. Deadline for early registration: 10 February 2012.
