Description of key information

Flash point (closed-cup) is 137 °C at 101.3 kPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
137 °C

Additional information

The flash point of Tin bis(2-ethylhexanoate) was determined using the EU Method A.9 (flash point) using a closed-cup apparatus. The temperature associated with flash point was determined for five repeated determinations with fresh portions of the test substance. The lowest temperature at which flash point was reproducibly achieved was 136 °C, which was corrected for deviation of the ambient atmospheric pressure from the standard pressure of 101.325 Pa. The reported flash point, corrected to a pressure of 101.325 Pa, is 137 °C.
