JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
According to Column 2 of REACH Annex X for ecotoxicological information, any need for testing should be carefully considered taking into account the large mammalian dataset that is usually available at this tonnage level. Since the long-term effects of the test material were already examined for terrestrial vertebrates, further long-term toxicity testing on birds is not necessary.

Description of key information

No toxicity to bird studies were available for tin bis(2-ethylhexanoate).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Long-term toxicity testing to birds is not necessary for tin bis(2-ethylhexanoate), since a mammalian data set is available, which examines the long term effects of tin bis(2-ethylhexanoate) in terrestrial vertebrates.
