Description of key information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI and column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the dissociation constant study does not need to be performed because:

a) the substance does not contain any ionic structure or functional groups
b) the substance is poorly soluble in water
c) it is unlikely OECD Guideline 112 (Dissociation Constants in Water) would be sensitive enough to give any meaningful results due to the poor solubility of TEL and the fact that it is unstable to UV radiation showing continuous absorption in the UV region

Key value for chemical safety assessment
