Description of key information

Vapour pressure: study scientifically unjustified: In accordance with the Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint Specific Guidance, Appendix R. vapour pressure testing is not required for chemicals with a standard boiling point of <30ºC, as these substances will have vapour pressures above the limit of measurement (i.e. 10^5 Pa).
In addition according to method A.4 of Regulation 440/2008/EC the study doesn't need to be conducted because the substance is a gas.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
505 500 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Information regarding the vapour pressure of perfluoromethyl vinyl ether was sourced from two secondary sources as the Company SDS and a public technical data sheet which reports that the substance has a vapour pressure of 505 and 484 KPa respectively at 20°C.

Considering that the data are non-peer-reviewed and of Klimisch-4 reliability, they have not been included in this assessment
