Description of key information

Auto flammability ( EU Method A.15): 180°C ± 5°C at 1 atm.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
180 °C

Additional information

The auto flammability of perfluoromethyl vinyl ether was assessed in accordance with EU Method A.15: Ignition temperatures of liquids and gases and in compliance with GLP ( Federal Institute of Material Research and Testing Laboratory II.12, 2004).

Information regarding the auto flammability temperature of perfluoromethyl vinyl ether was also reported from two additional sources.

These data both agree that the test substance has an auto flammability temperature ranging from 180°C to 191°C. Considering that the data obtained from the secondary sources are non-peer-reviewed and of Klimisch-4 reliability, they have not been included in this assessment.
