Administrative data

Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
April 1995 - April 1996
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: The melting point of the commercial product was measured at the manufacturing site's Quality Control unit repeatedly from April 1995 - April 1996 on different lots. The average over this time frame is reported here.

Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was used to determine the melting point of different lots of the commercial product. DSC is a commonly used laboratory method. The principal equipment used is a TA Instruments Model 2910 DSC with its standard DSC cell and Thermal Analyst 5000 PC controller or equivalent with a Gas Flowmeter, such as Sierra Instruments Model A-2960.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: Differential Scanning Calorimetry
