Description of key information

A weight of evidence approach was used to address this endpoint.
Anon. (MSDS) (2009): The auto-ignition temperature of 1-bromopropane is 490 ºC.
National Fire Protection Association (1994): The auto-ignition temperature of 1-bromopropane is 490 ºC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
490 °C

Additional information

Both data sources confirm that the auto-ignition temperature on 1 -bromopropane is 490 ºC. The value quoted in National Fire Protection Association (1994) is from a peer reviewed data source and can as such be considered reliable.
