According to literature data of Harris (1990), Kollig et al. (1993) and Boethling & Mackay (2000) the structure of the test substance does not contain any functional groups sensitive to hydrolysis.

According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VIII, Section 9.2.2.1, Column 2, the study on hydrolysis as a function of pH does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Dipropylamine (CAS 142 -84 -7) was found to be readily biodegradable in an activated sludge respiration test according to OECD 301B (BASF AG, 2005, see IUCLID Ch. 5.2.1). Therefore, no study on hydrolysis is performed.
