After exposure to soil, isobutyl
vinyl ether is not expected to adsorb significantly to solid soil
phase (e.g. clay). Evaporation from water or moist soil surfaces is an
important fate path due to the high Henrys Law Constant. The
distribution of the substance between the environmental compartments was
calculated by use of the Mackay LEVEL 1 v3.00 programme (BASF 2016). The
standard environmental properties for the calculation are drawn from a
publication of Mackay (2001). Due to the results of the Mackay LEVEL 1
calculation, over time the substance will preferentially distribute into
the compartment air (100%).
