Tefuryltrione is photolytically degraded in aqueous solution with a half-life of 2.0 – 5.6 days.

Additional information

The endpoint “phototransformation in water” is not a data requirement for the registered substance. However, for the sake of completeness this endpoint is covered by a short summary of the available data.

 

In the available GLP study, the photolysis of tefuryltrione was studied in a sterile aqueous buffer solution at pH 7 and in sterile natural paddy water under exposure to simulated sunlight in the laboratory with a nominal test concentration of 5 mg/L for up to 12 days at 25 ± 1 °C in comparison to samples incubated in the dark. The half-lives (DT50) for tefuryltrione in sterile aqueous pH 7 buffer solution were between 10.7 and 15.2 days. The half-lives (DT50) for tefuryltrione in sterile natural paddy water were between 2.0 and 5.6 days.
