Description of key information

Bioconcentration factors for the bluegill fish were found to be in the range 121.8-202.0.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
121.8 dimensionless

Additional information

The bioconcentration factors derived in duplicate studies with 14C p-CBT and bluegill are in the range 121.8-202.0 indicating that p-CBT has a low potential for bioaccumulation in fish. The rapid and extensive elimination of radioactive residues indicate that compound-related residues should not persist in fish tissues after removal from water containing p-CBT.
