Description of key information

From the experimental data obtained according to the guideline A.5 in Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 part A and OECD Guideline No. 115, it can be concluded that the surface tension at 20°C is 71.9 mN/m for the 4-Chloro-α,α,α-trifluorotoluene (PCBTF) sample in an aqueous solution at 90% of its saturation.

Additional information

The above indicated concentration, expressed in mg/L, corresponds to the 90% of the sample water solubility.

According to the interpretation of the results suggested in the A.5 method, the 4-Chloro-α,α,α-trifluorotoluene (PCBTF) sample should be regarded as a not surface-active material.
