Interpretation of results:
Toxicity Category II
Remarks:
Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
Executive summary:

Cyanogen was found to be toxic for male albino rats by inhalation with LC50 350 ppm ethanedinitrile/1 hour. For the purpose of classification, AF 2 was used to derive 4hrs LC50 from 1hr value resulting in LC50 175 ppm/ 4 hrs.

Endpoint conclusion

Additional information

Justification for selection of acute toxicity – oral endpoint
Physical properties of EDN (true gas @ 25 °C and 101.325 kPa) rule out possibility of oral exposure.

Justification for classification or non-classification
