Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the density of the test substance, C18 TMAC (Purity: 99.2%) according to the method NF T20 – 053 (determination of density of solids in powder and liquids). The pycnometer displacement method was used with hexadecane as solvent. The experiment was performed in duplicate. Under the study conditons, the test substance had a density of 0.91 g/cm3 at 20ºC (Börjesson, 2012).

Description of key information

The density of the test substance was determined using pycnometer method according to Method NF T20 – 053 (Börjesson, 2012).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.91
