Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the melting point / freezing point of the test substance, C18 TMAC (Purity: 99.2%) according to OECD Guideline 102. The experiment was performed using a Differential Scanning Calorimetry method, on a Mettler DSC 1, under nitrogen atmosphere (20 mL/min). 11.6 mg of test substance was placed in a 40 µL aluminium cup. The temperature programming covered the range -30 to 300ºC with a heating rate of 5ºC/min. Under the study conditons, the melting point temperature of the test substance was determined to be 104ºC with a range of 95 to 104ºC (Börjesson, 2012).
