guideline study with acceptable restrictions
according to guideline
EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases))
The substance is a solid with a broad melting range of subcomponents from -64 to 145 °C
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Internal method VTA(S)23N07014.01
GLP compliance:
Auto-ignition temperature:
340 °C

other: 1016 hPa on the first day, 1011 hPa on the second day.

Description of key information

340 °C under ambient pressure (1011-1016 hPa); not self-heating

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
340 °C

Additional information

The relative self-ignition temperature of the substance was determined in the test performed according to EU Method A.15 to be 340 °C. The substance is a solid with a melting area < 160 °C (not self-heating). Although the test method was designed for liquids and gases, it can be applied for solids characterized by the melting point or melting area in the range of relatively low temperatures (in this case: from -64 to 145 °C).
