From the start of the experiment the weight
of the sample decreased significantly. At 59°C the sample weight had
decreased by 25%. After the experiment it was observed that the test
item was evaporated from the sample container.
During cooling no effects were observed
which were due to crystallization of the test item. During heating an
endothermic peak between 0°C and 100°C was observed. The extrapolated
onset temperature of the peak was 67.461°C. The effect was most likely
obtained due to boiling of the test item. After the experiment it was
observed that the test item had evaporated from the sample container.
To further investigate the endothermic peak
between 0°C and 100°C a closed sample container was applied in the
Experiment 5. Figure 3 shows the DSC-curve obtained in Experiment 5. The
extrapolated onset temperature of the boiling peak was 106.758°C. It was
observed that the endothermic peak had shifted to a higher temperature
which demonstrated that boiling of the test item was the reason for the
endothermic effect. After the experiment it
was observed that the test item had
evaporated from the sample container.
Experiment 6 was performed as a duplicate of
boiling point temperature determination of the test item. The
temperature program was the same as that used in Experiment 4. The
extrapolated onset of the boiling peak was 66.978°C. After the
experiment it was observed that the test item had evaporated from the

AC-2000 was determined to be 67°C (340K) by using DSC. The atmospheric
pressure was 1014 ± 1 hPa.
