Description of key information

Diisopropylnaphthalene (mixture of isomers) has a boiling range from 292 to 295°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
292 °C

Additional information

The boiling point of diisopropylnaphthalene was determined according to the national standard DIN 51751. As mixture of structural isomers, diisopropylnaphthalene showed a boiling range.

For two different batches from 2009 and 2010, the boiling range was 293 - 295°C and 292 - 295°C (upper limit relates to the vapour temperature at distillation of 95% of test material) (Rütgers 2010 a and b).
