Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The relative density of arsenic acid is determined to 2.5.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
2.5

Additional information

The key value density (2.5 g/cm3) is determined using a source of information assessed by reliability 2. Three other sources of information assessed by reliability 4 provide density values for arsenic acid and are used as supporting study.

The relative density is the ratio between the mass of a volume of substance to be examined, determined at 20ºC, and the mass of the same volume of water, determined at 4ºC. In order to determine the relative density of arsenic acid, the density value is divided by 999.975 kg/m3 (water maximum density at 4°C). The relative density is dimensionless.

Relative density = 2500 kg/m3 / 999.975 kg/m3 = 2.5
