Description of key information

A hydrolysis study on 44PD revealed that 44PD hydrolyses at pH4, pH7 and pH9. Additionally, the kinetic behaviour of the hydrolysis products detectable by HPLC-UV analysis were monitored and reported for pH 7 and pH 9. Results are DT50 (20 °C, pH 4): approx. 230 hours; DT50 (50 °C, pH 4): approx. 30 hours; Half-life-time (20 °C, pH 7): t(1/2) = 5.3 hours; DT50 (20 °C, pH 9): approx. 1.5 hours. The final hydrolysis products are p-benzoquinone, p-hydroquinone and 1-methyl-propylamine (sec-butylamine).
