Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The particle size analysis shows that hesperidin as used for this experiment is capable of being inhaled (>10% having a particle size of 10 µm or less), based on following results:
D10 :    8.1 µm
D50 :  18.0 µm Median diameter MMAD
D90 :  44.0 µm

Additional information

The particle size analysis of the test item Hesperidin (CAS 520-26-3; Einecs-No. 208-288-1) was performed by laser scattering analysis according to ISO13320-1 with a particle size distribution analyzer LA950 (Horiba).

The results are as follows:

The mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of the test item Hesperidin (CAS 520-26-3; Einecs-No. 208-288-1) is calculated as 18.0 µm.

Particle size distribution of Hesperidin (CAS 520-26-3; Einecs-No. 208-288-1):

D10 :    8.1 µm

D50 :  18.0 µm Median diameter MMAD

D90 :  44.0 µm
